Only five days after parliamentary polls in Afghanistan the situation in parliament escalated and lawmakers brawled over accepting the new Speaker Mir Rahman Rahmani. Members of parliament tried to stop him taking his seat. In a video one can see a parliament member running towards the crowd holding a knife in his hand.
The ratification of Haiti’s Prime Minister and ministers got out of control. The opposition did not accept the appointed majority ministers and protested against it by using megaphones, bells and physical intervention. The session was finally postponed.
The third attempt to ratify the government on 30th of May also ended in chaos. The opposition senators ransacked the Parliament and threw furniture out of the building.
Violence spread and protestors in favour of the opposition where burning barricades were errected and a Government vehicle was set on fire.
During discussions in the parliament of Hong Kong lawmakers started a fight over who controlled the microphone. They argued about an extradition bill that would allow suspects to be extradited to mainland China, Macau or Taiwan. One of the lawmakers collapsed and had to be taken to hospital.
