Chili powder and Chairs: Fighting two days in a row in Sri Lanka

After fist fights on Thursday the 15th of November,  parliamentarians in Sri Lanka started throwing chairs, books, bottles and chili powder:

There was a no-confidence motion against the new prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa originating from the old prime minister’s party.

Brawl in South African parliament

After accusations of racism, a fight emerged in the parliament of South Africa between opposition parties. A politician from the left party EFF threw a bottle at an MP of the center-left Agang party. Finally, security staff intervened.

Member of parliament pushed to the floor by employee of far right Party

During the summer party of the parliament in Saxony-Anhalt an employee of the far-right AfD molests members of parliament from the Left Party. After multiple requests to leave them alone the Lefts leave their table and head towards another one, the AfD employee follows them. Another AfD employee joins the scene, grabs one person from the Lefts by the shoulders and pushes him to the floor.

Macedonia: Angry Protesters storm Parliament

Out of competition and not a fight between memebers of parliament: Violence broke out in Macedonia’s Parliament on Thursday after an ethnic Albanian MP was elected speaker. The move sparked outrage from nationalists. Hundreds of angry pro-government protesters surrounded and stormed the Parliament building demanding new elections. Macedonia is a former republic of Yugoslavia.
